I really love the hair animation in Sailor Moon Crystal! It’s all so flowy! As a matter of fact, at times it reminds me of hair commercials haha.

yeah seriously have you ever heard of “corrupt firefighter”

what would a ‘corrupt firefighter’ even be. he put out that fire with a little TOO much water. he was a little rough with the cat he rescued from a tree for a little old lady

Why Alysia Montano wears a flower in her hair during every race.

Even though she grew up playing football, shooting hoops and running races against all the boys in her neighborhood, U.S. 800-meter champion Alysia Montano never wanted to be thought of as one of them.

As a result, she started wearing a flower behind her right ear to remind the boys they were getting beat by a girl.

The flower remains Montano’s trademark even though her opponents are now world-class female middle-distance runners.

"The flower to me means strength with femininity," Montano said in June after winning the 800 at the U.S. Olympic trials. "I think that a lot of people say things like you run like a girl. That doesn’t mean you have to run soft or you have to run dainty. It means that you’re strong."

A woman of color is promoted: j/k. That never happens.

I dislike the way Tuxedo Mask is being portrayed in Crystal. Yes, he kind of served as a Deus Ex Machina/cheerleader to the Sailor Scouts in the old series, but at least he did something. Now he just prowls around like a creeper. He’s one of my favorite characters, so it’s rather sad to me that he’s being mistreated just because of Naoko Takeuchi’s feminist views.

Welcome to the world of what women experience in literally every other single piece of media.

Does it make you uncomfortable? Imagine not having the option to switch to literally any other anime airing this season to avoid it, and then you’ll have the slightest inkling as to what women suffer from in terms of representation in the media.

But only the slightest.

Seriously, you make *one* male character fill a role that’s normally filled by a female and put the woman in the strong, protagonist roles and men start crying like babies over it.

Men sure can dish it out, but they sure as hell can’t take any of it in. W e a k.
